Steve Heller
Ornery Mechanic

Of STEVE HELLER, the director said, "I first saw Steve in a performance of "Among the Thugs" at the Odessey Theater in West L.A. and the performance tore my head off.  So much of local theater is a rerun of old tried and true shows or new shows that are more experimental than effective.  But Steve and the entire cast created a magical moment, a true epiphany that reminded me of just how good theater can really be.  Then in the audition I realized Steve's performance wasn't just a fluke.  He really could deliver the goods."

Steve's extensive stage experience (over twenty major shows, including Shakespeare), and traditional exhaustive training at one of the best acting schools in the country, The Goodman School of Drama, has built Steve into an actor who is ready to do justice to any challenge.

Since coming to L.A. Steve has had a number of leading and supporting roles in films as well.  Most recently Steve had a supporting role in the critically acclaimed "About Schmidt" which starred Jack Nicholson, and NBC's new "LAX" with Heather Locklear.

"I got my role in The Fall of Night in the best possible way;  Derrick saw me in a play I was in;  he liked my work; he asked me to audition and I got cast.  Often an actor lands a project because he knows the producer or director, but tis time it was my work as na actor that landed me a role, and I'm proud of that."
