IAN EYRE, STUNT DOUBLE and SPECIAL EFFECTS MAN. Ian is a truly multitalented individual: writer, director, union stuntman and coordinator, and California 3rd class licensed special effects man. In "The Fall of Night" he doubled actor Tony Longo (Atlas) standing on the high rock at Vasquez Rocks (100 foot straight drop) in the freezing predawn light for what must have seemed like an endless time till the shots were taken. Also, he coordinated the special effects campfire right in the middle of a bone dry time in the California high desert.
As stunt coordinator, Ian worked with: The History Channel, Biola University, & Last Chance Prods.; as stunt performer he has worked on: Star Trek: Enterprise; Timeline, Blood Work, Star Trek: Nemesis and others. And he has done car prep for Fear Factor; and analyzed the trajectory & forces for launching a racecar off a bridge in Charlie's Angels. Ian has a mechanical engineering degree from Georgia Tech. Ian's skills include: fights, falls, air rams, driving stunts, fire gags, scuba, & others.
As an effects coordinator Ian has also coordinated features like: Land of Plenty (Wim Wenders), The Hollow, and The Profit; he has been an effect technician or office coordinator on: The Last Samurai, We Were Soldiers, and Megiddo: Omega Code 2; and he has been an effects technician on commercials for: Pepsi, IBM, Merrill Lynch, and Vidal Sassoon. He holds a California Special Effects 3rd Class License. His bag of tricks include: body burns, simulated gunfights, window breaks, air mortars and sparks.
Also, Ian is a filmmaker with several shorts to his credit as writer, director and/or producer. He also co-produced a feature western. Of The Fall of Night Ian says, "I really enjoy helping low budget movies get that dreamed of stunt. It doesn't have to cost and arm and a leg and adds so much to the production value."
